The most beautiful beaches in the UK for surfers (Part 4)

Porthcurno Beach, Cornwall

Located between two rocky headlands, this small sandy bay is patted by the beautiful turquoise blue waters, making you feel like you are on a beautiful island in Greece. During low tide, you can paddle through shallow water or hike through sandy roads to find other beaches around the bay.

And right on the beach is the extremely impressive Minack Theater, carved right into a granite cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Stay at the Trereife House in Penzance, just 20 minutes’ drive from Porthcurno Beach, a historic mansion dating back to Queen Elizabeth I.

Achmelvich Beach, Scotland

Located in a poetic remote area of the Highlands, a wide stretch of sand in the shape of a perfect semicircle reminds one of the beautiful tropical beaches in the Philippines. And the beach is beautiful even when the sky turns gray, with adorable dolphins swimming in the waves.

Luskentyre Beach, Outer Hebrides

At the end of a winding rocky path on the wild coastline of Harris Island, Luskentyre is a temperate Caribbean beach. Come here at low tide, when fine white sand bands, iridescent in the sun come out, gently patted by the waves.

Meanwhile, in the background, there are small sand dunes, with soft grass trade swayed in the wind. When visiting this place, you will rarely meet anyone, except for two familiar “inhabitants” of the beach – two wild white horses. Sleep right on the beach at Harris White Cottage.

Rhossili Beach, Wales

With a vast 3-mile stretch of sand and lots of surfers, Rhossili Beach can completely make people think they are on an Australian beach.

Often recognized as Europe’s most beautiful beach and one of the best in the world, Rhossili is located at the tip of the Gower peninsula. With a 3-mile stretch of golden sand, perfect waves for surfers, and lush green strips, one can mistake this for a paradise beach in Australia.

A favorite place of the great Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, this romantic bay has deep blue water “midnight blue” against the red-orange sky at sunset. More impressively, at low tide, you can also see the wreck of the Helvetia boat that sank in 1887. Stop by the lovely strawberry red Western House upon arrival, just a short drive from Rhossili Bay.
